We did not discuss the issue of amending Armenia’s Constitution during the meeting with Aliyev in Bishkek: Pashinyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev did not discuss the issue of amending Armenia’s Constitution during their meeting in Bishkek, Pashinyan said at a briefing today.

“We discussed all the issues on our agenda with the President of Azerbaijan. The Constitution is not on our agenda. On the contrary, we have made it clear that we do not discuss the agenda or issue concerning our Constitution with external partners or other countries,” Pashinyan stated.

He added that Yerevan’s wish and message is for other countries not to adopt the rhetoric of the opposition and use it themselves, as this does not follow the logic of partnership. Pashinyan stressed that the issue of the Constitution is exclusively an internal matter of Armenia.
